Installation guide

The same guide works for every current mount — quick and easy. None of the mounts require any modifications to the helmet itself. Each mount ships with enough zip ties for one installation — all you need is scissors or side cutters to trim the excess.

  1. Every mount ships with enough zip ties for one installation.
  2. Wipe any mud, dust and grime off the helmet's chin bar with a damp cloth.
  3. Test-fit the mount on the helmet so you know exactly where it should sit. Compare with the product photos and the example photos so the zip ties end up in the right places.
  4. Thread all the zip ties into place. Sometimes it's easier to position the mount first and then the ties; other times it's easier to feed the ties through first. Pre-bending a zip tie into an L-shape can help feed it through tight spots.
  5. On helmets where it works, lock the zip tie so the locking head ends up hidden on the inside of the helmet. In every case, think about the final orientation you want the tie to sit in.
  6. Fasten all the zip ties loosely. Then tighten each one in turn. Wiggle the mount gently before the final tightening so every part settles into place.
  7. Cut off the excess zip-tie tails.
