The D4 was easily the hardest helmet to model — it hasn't got a single flat surface. I 3D-scanned the shell and spent tens of hours tweaking the CAD to nail the fit, so the mount sits flush, unobtrusive and clean. It's the only Zipmount that needs just two zip ties instead of four: an anchor fin locks its lower edge into the shell, and the ties loop around the helmet's own sturdy vertical beams — no adhesive tape, no modifications to the helmet. Tuck the ziptie heads inside the chin bar to keep it extra clean. Tested on every size of the D4, and a standard GoPro foot holds GoPro, DJI and Insta360.
Each mount is designed for exactly one helmet at the model year shown above. The fit is tight. The model year is on the sticker inside the helmet. If you're unsure, email me a photo and I'll confirm the right version before you order. How to find your model and year →
It needs no modifications to the helmet at all. The mount threads through existing vents in the helmet with zip ties that spread the load over a wide area — no teeth or claws gouging the EPS liner the way clamp mounts do.
It's printed in durable PETG and handles normal riding and the usual knocks — riders have had them survive real crashes intact. It's still a printed part, so after a hard impact give the mount and the zip ties a quick check for cracks or looseness, and swap the zip ties if in doubt. Otherwise just wipe it clean.
Most do. Cameras and neck braces come in different sizes and shapes, so I can't promise every combination — but I've specifically flagged the mounts that sit high enough on the helmet to guarantee neck-brace clearance. Look for the “Guaranteed neck-brace clearance” label on the product page. Unsure about your own brace? Email me a photo.
Zipmount is a camera accessory, not safety equipment — it does not improve or replace your helmet's protection. I am not the helmet maker and have not re-tested the helmet with a mount fitted, so I cannot speak to its certification; attaching any accessory may affect it. Follow your helmet manufacturer's guidance. More on the safety & instructions page.
I usually pack within 1–2 business days. In Finland the parcel typically arrives within 2–4 business days, elsewhere in the EU typically within 4–8. The mount is €19; shipping is added: €6 to Finland, €13 to the rest of the EU.
Yes. 14-day right of withdrawal. Email me to withdraw — return shipping is on you. Details in the terms.

Just what I'd been after — a GoPro chest strap was never comfortable. When I found out a Finnish downhill rider had started making these, and for my helmet too, I had to order one. And you can tell time has gone into it: the mount sits rock solid.Translated from Finnish
The mount is easy to install and surprisingly light. It fits the helmet perfectly and works well in use. The ordering process was quick and smooth. I'd much rather buy from a one-man workshop than from a Chinese giant.Translated from Finnish
The Zipmount surprised me with how affordable it is, and from brief experience it seems a very functional and well-proportioned mount.Translated from Finnish
The ordering process was easy, and delivery was good and fast. The fit on the helmet model is good, and mounting was easy — plus points for the good zip ties. My own Insta360 X4 was easy to attach to it. The only downside is the rough surface of the part, but that's probably down to the 3D printing.Translated from Finnish
